Methacton storms back to PAC softball championship with semifinal rout of Upper Merion
Warriors erupt for five first-inning runs, cruise into title game against Owen J. Roberts

Methacton wasted little time punching its ticket back to the Pioneer Athletic Conference softball championship game Monday night, exploding for five first-inning runs on the way to a 12-2 mercy-rule victory over Upper Merion at Spring-Ford Area High School.
The Warriors, who fell in last year’s PAC title game to Perkiomen Valley, came out swinging early and never let up, according to gameplay coverage. Junior Kaitlin Pettine led the offensive barrage, going 4-for-4 with a three-run double in the opening inning as Methacton quickly seized momentum against the Vikings.
Methacton kept piling on throughout the night, adding three more runs in the second and two more in both the third and fifth innings. Jasmine McKeown drove in five runs, while Sadie Fitch scored three times and also delivered a strong outing in the circle, allowing just two runs on two hits over four innings while striking out five, according to The Times Herald.
The Warriors improved to 15-5 overall and advanced to Wednesday night’s PAC championship game against top-seeded Owen J. Roberts. Upper Merion, which entered the game as Frontier Division champion, dropped to 15-6 but will continue its postseason run in the upcoming District 1-5A playoffs.
