Fire destroys shed, damages home early Thursday morning

A fire destroyed a shed and caused fire damage to an adjacent home and trees in the early morning hours Thursday in Lower Providence Township.

The initial call came in through Montgomery County emergency dispatch as a structure fire at 208 Lauman Avenue at 1:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, police found a shed fully-involved along the home at the end of the driveway, per reports from the scene.

The fire extended to the house, as well as trees and bushes, per reports. There was significant damage to the side of the home.

The scene remained active after 3 a.m.
