When a noise is annoying, and you cannot control it – join it.
Lower Frederick Township musician Melinda Rice, along with Jennifer Fleeger, Sarah Fridrich, Aaron Pond, and Thomas Patteson, are expected once again present “Siren Song,” a live performance to accompany the semi-annual sounding of the Limerick Generating Station’s siren test.
The free-form concert will start around 1:30 p.m. June 2 in Foy Park, at 1 Main St. in Spring Mount
The musicians, as promoted by Lower Frederick Township’s Facebook page, are asking fellow musicians to join in the fun.
Rice has organized these pop-up concerts four previous times. She will be playing violin, alongside Hencek on the bass, Fleeger on violin, Fridrich on ukelele and melodica, Pond on French horn and Patteson on saxophone.
The test alert is audible only twice a year. So, the next opportunity to hear this unusual musical collaboration won't be until December
