Collegeville Borough is set to launch its summer festivities with the Concert in the Park & Food Donation Drop Off on Thursday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at Collegeville Community Park, located at W. Third and Park avenues.
Headlining the evening will be the Tyson Mill Band, a local Collegeville-based rock-and-roll group known for their performances at the Tall Trees Music Festival. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to settle in and enjoy the music, along with a picnic dinner.
The event is child- and dog-friendly.
In addition to the musical entertainment, the event will support the Daily Bread Food Pantry.
Collection bins will be available on-site for essential food and personal care donations, including cream soups, broth, jelly, peas, baked beans, canned pasta, rice crackers, skillet and dinner makings, spaghetti sauce, personal care items, laundry soap, dish soap, body wash, disinfectant, and cleaning products.
