After two years of collaboration on a potential joint fire service partnership, Trappe Fire Company will return to operating independently under its former designation, “Station 77.”
This change follows the Upper Providence Township Board of Supervisors' March decision to discontinue efforts to consolidate fire services with Trappe Borough and Trappe Fire Company.
Effective May 14, Trappe Fire Company transitioned from Station 68-2 back to Station 77. Despite the shift, there will be no disruption in fire service to Upper Providence Township or Trappe Borough.
The company will continue to respond to the same calls and areas it currently serves.
Trappe Fire Company remains a 100% volunteer organization and will maintain its strong working relationship with the Upper Providence Department of Fire and Emergency Services and neighboring fire companies, ensuring high-quality fire protection for the region, the fire company said.
