A fatal accident occurred on Route 422 Eastbound Friday morning after a dump truck carrying sand headed westbound crossed the grass median and collided with what is reported by a passerby to be a silver SUV, police said.
Pennsylvania State troopers from Philadelphia and Skippack stations are currently on scene.
According to police, the collision occurred as a loaded tri-axle dump truck traveling Westbound on 422 at mile marker 188.4 lost control, drove off the left side of the roadway, through the retaining guide wire barrier and into the oncoming lanes of travel on 422 East.
The truck struck a silver Ford sedan before overturning and spilling its cargo onto the roadway.
The operator of the dump truck suffered minor injuries and the operator of the struck Ford sedan was rushed to the hospital and is not suspected to survive, police said.

Route 422 Eastbound is closed between Oaks and Trooper Road exits for investigation.
An iPhone crash notification was sent to 911, per Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports. One driver was reported unconscious, per reports.
