Thousands in damages reported after vandals strike Methacton High School property; separate incident involves truck driven onto golf course grounds
Pennsylvania State Police out of Skippack Township are investigating two criminal mischief incidents that occurred at a golf course and at Methacton High School between February and April.
Police announced last week that unknown vandals destroyed a $1,000 softball screen, a $100 large folding table, and a $500 shed door at the Worcester Township high school on Kriebel Mill Road between 5 p.m. April 28 and 3 p.m. April 29.
Two months prior to that, police said, a 36-year-old Worcester man and a 24-year-old Pottstown woman drove a black 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, without a visible registration plate, onto the property of Worcester Golf Club on Green Hill Road in Worcester Township prior to business hours, at 7:53 am. Feb. 10.
Police said the driver bypassed a cone-blocked parking lot entrance and drove across the parking lot into a grassy field, where it became stuck in the mud and caused property damage to the field.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
