Monday's evening rush hour is experiencing extra congestion due to a car accident.
A vehicle accident involving a FedEx delivery truck has traffic slowed in Collegeville Borough Monday evening.
According to county dispatch, a Federal Express delivery truck has struck a porch to a home in the area of East Main Street and Second Avenue in Collegeville. Calls for emergency units were placed around 4:44 p.m. Monday, May 12.
Reporting to the scene were Collegeville Fire Company, local fire police, and the Lower Providence Community Center Ambulance, among other first responders.
Second Avenue is currently closed between Park Avenue and Main Street in Collegeville, in both directions, those at the scene have reported. The front windshield of the delivery truck was reportedly "smashed," and the condition of the driver has not been released.
