Lower Frederick Township is hoping citizens’ input today can shape one of its parks for tomorrow.

The township is launching a new phase in its long-term effort to enhance community recreation through the development of a new playground plan at Coble Park, located at 1230 N. Gravel Pike.

This project is part of a broader, multi-year initiative known as the Coble Park Rehabilitation Plan, which is designed to be implemented in stages to ease financial and administrative strain on the township.

As the most heavily used recreational space in Lower Frederick, according to the township, Coble Park holds a special place in the community. With planned connections to two upcoming housing developments, its role as a central hub for residents is expected to grow even more vital in the years ahead.

Recognizing this, the Lower Frederick Park Board is seeking public input through a brief community survey to guide the design and development process.

One of the primary goals of the playground redesign is to make the park inclusive and accessible for all children. The plan emphasizes the installation of ADA-compliant play equipment, ensuring that children of all physical abilities can enjoy the park's offerings.

Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences by completing the survey, available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NTJ2SXP.
