Held May 16 and May 17, Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center's antique show is joined with large crafters’ "Deja Vu" Flea Market
A new and improved Penn Dry Goods Market has something for those who like antiques, vintage, or textile-related crafts.
Held Friday, May 16 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, May 17 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg is built around an antique show of 15 dealers specializing in antiques and vintage textiles as well as smalls, toys, and folk art.
This year, there also will be a large Déjà Vu Flea Market where one can purchase books, fabric, craft tools, vintage clothing, and more. The food tent also has been expanded to include a bake sale with, among other things, Pennsylvania German specialties. The cost of admission is $5.
A series of a dozen lectures provides shoppers with more background on topics such as samplers, quilts, and weaving. The first lecture is Thursday at 7 p.m.3 on Zoom, and the others run during the Penn Market. Details on topics and registration are at schwenkfelder.org/program-schedule-registration. Each lecture is $25 or $35 at the door. A lecture ticket includes admission to the Market itself.
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center at 105 Seminary Street, Pennsburg is the regional history museum for the Upper Perkiomen Valley. It is open Tuesday through Sunday with free admission to visit exhibits or research in the library.
