Skippack house struck by lightning, home evacuated as fire company investigates Monday night

Skippack Fire Co. has evacuated a residence on the 3900 block of Montella Circle in Skippack Township after it was struck by lightning Monday night and is currently on scene investigating the smell of smoke. 

PECO has been called to the scene as well, according to Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports.

There is neither visible smoke nor flames. Pennsylvania State Police troopers evacuated the home at 8:32 p.m., located near Cassel Road. 

There are no reported injuries.
