A locally-popular restaurant on Gravel Pike in Lower Frederick Township, rated 4.7 out of 5 stars on Google Reviews, scored a near-perfect Montgomery County food safety inspection report last month.

Country Chef's Kitchen at 1446 Gravel Pike in the Perkiomenville section of the township -- known as "The Omelette Specialists" -- passed all food safety and food handling inspections with flying colors during a March 18 routine inspection by the Montgomery County Department of Health. 

The eatery was tasked by the county with repairing a damaged, leaking ceiling in the walk-in cooler; no food items were affected, according to the county.

The affordable eatery specializes in American cuisine, including breakfast and lunch options, in a small, cozy location across from US Gas, P&B Beverages and the Perkiomenville Post Office. It currently has 381 reviews on Google Reviews. 

Country Chef's Kitchen offers dine-in and takeout and outdoor seating. It is cash only. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Sunday 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call them at 215-234-8778.
