Landon Dickerson, the Eagles’ All-Pro center, is bringing his generosity off the field and into the bar scene.
On Thursday, April 3, he will be guest bartending at Eagleville Taphouse in Lower Providence Township to raise funds for the Montgomery County Hero Fund, a nonprofit supporting families of first responders who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.
Tickets for the event are available for $40 in advance or $50 at the door. Attendees will enjoy draft beer, wine, soda, and snacks from 6 to 8 p.m., with liquor available for purchase.
The event is a way to bring the community together while also supporting those who sacrifice their lives to protect others, particularly in a city where the Eagles’ success has inspired unity and pride, according to The Liberty Line.
This is not the All-Pro’s first foray into charitable bartending: Last spring, he helped raise $8,000 for the Montgomery County Hero Fund during a similar event in Conshohocken.
Dickerson’s involvement in community events showcases his selflessness and dedication to using his platform for good, per the report.
While many athletes retreat into private life after the season, Dickerson consistently shows up in support of important causes, the people of Philadelphia and the families of first responders, per the article.
