Melville, a former councilman, has been fire marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator since 2017
At the March 13 Schwenksville Borough Council meeting, Mayor Debra Svenkeson awarded Fire Marshal and former Borough Councilman Chris Melville with the Mayor's Making a Difference Community Service Award.Â
This award recognizes individuals who serve as role models for compassion and service and continuously strive to improve the quality of life for borough residents.
According to the borough, Melville served on the planning commission from 2015 until 2019, served on council from 2019 until December of 2024, and has been the fire marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator since 2017.
