Manna on Main Street’s 14th annual Race to End Hunger will be held Saturday, April 5, featuring a variety of fun-filled activities for people of all ages, while raising funds for Manna’s critical work to end hunger in the greater North Penn region of Montgomery County.

Manna’s Race to End Hunger includes professionally chip timed 10K and 5K races, as well as a Fun Run that is approximately 1 mile. The races begin at 8:15 a.m. at Knapp Elementary School in Lansdale. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, including people with strollers and dogs on leashes.

“Our incredible community has come together to support Manna, and in return, Manna has stepped up to help our neighbors,” said Patty Mark, Manna’s donor stewardship manager and race director. “We truly couldn’t have reached this point without them. The Race to End Hunger is not just a celebration of all our achievements—it raises funds to ensure we can continue to make our vision ‘that everyone might be fed’ a reality.”

Over 400 people have already registered for the races.

People can register for the 10K, 5K and Fun Run by visiting mannaonmain.org/rteh until race day. Onsite registration will be available at 7 a.m. on race day.

Food and beverages will be provided at the finish line by Backyard Beans, Wawa, Wegmans, Whole Foods and other local partners. The North Pennsmen barbershop chorus will sing the National Anthem. Dozens of community volunteers will support the race, including by cheering for participants on the race course.

Out of over 60 race sponsors, the top sponsors are: Afzal Family Foundation, CM3 Building Solutions, Brittany Pointe Estates Residents Association, Bergey’s Inc., Advanced Medical Strategies, Clemens Food Group, Merck, Penn Community Bank and W.B. Homes.

“The Afzal family has been proud partners and supporters of Manna’s Race to End Hunger since its inaugural race,” said Mateen Afzal of the Afzal Family Foundation. “The challenge of ending hunger in our community is one that truly requires a collaborative approach. The Afzal Family Foundation continues to support Manna and its dedicated team who work tirelessly in the North Penn region in partnership with our neighbors who rely on their critical services enabling hope, security and dignity.”

“CM3 Building Solutions has been a long- term supporter of Manna and the Race to End Hunger,” said CM3 president Bruce Michelson. “With our mission to deploy building technologies that bring well-being to people, community service is core to our vision and values. We strive to support organizations that make a tangible difference in the lives of our community, and there is none better than Manna on Main Street. We are proud to stand with the Montgomery County community in supporting Manna, their staff, volunteers and most importantly their clients.”

All proceeds from the race benefit Manna on Main Street, the North Penn area’s largest nonprofit working to end hunger, whose vision is “that everyone might be fed.”

Along with Advanced Living Communities, North Penn YMCA, and The PEAK Center, Manna is a founding partner of North Penn Commons, located at 606 East Main Street in Lansdale. In September 2024, Manna opened Manna’s Online Market Hub at 10 N. Cannon Ave. in Lansdale. For more information on Manna’s programs and services, visit www.mannaonmain.org.
