Multiple fire agencies are battling a brush fire with no fire hydrants Thursday evening at the Valley Forge Crossing trailer park on the 100 block of Valley Lane  in Lower Providence Township.

Pumper trucks were called to the scene, as well as two field trucks and an ATV to fight the fire, due to the lack of hydrants, per Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports.

A caller reported the fire at 4:55 p.m., stating to Montgomery County emergency dispatch operations that numerous youths were by the fire and they could not get it under control. The caller said there was a large area in flames at the trailer park, located between Bratton and Nestor drives.

By 5:30 p.m., a massive smoke plume was in the sky and firefighters said the fire was not under control and spreading toward heavy timber and a wooded area containing buildings.

Firefighting forest crews have been called to the scene, as of 6 p.m.

Eastbound U.S. Route 422 traffic is closed at the Oaks exit due to fire conditions.
