I was just as surprised as you were hearing the news. A family favorite in Lansdale is closing its doors. At the close of its 2025 season, Freddy Hill Farms will be no more.

I spent many falls here myself, picking out pumpkins with my kiddos. I remember hay rides and mini golf. As one of my children approaches age 20 and the other just turned 17, it is with a heavy heart that I read the words on North Penn Now. (You can see the full story on its close at https://northpennnow.com/news/2025/mar/07/after-53-years-freddy-hill-farms-and-family-fun-center-closing-for-good-end-of-2025-season/.)

I remember one particularly heartbreaking miniature golf round that ended in tears, as my then-5-year-old hit her pink golf ball into a water feature.

"Bye-bye, pink ball," howled a red-faced, mourning preschooler. "Oh, my pink ball." You'd have thought we lost a family member, not an easily replaced golf ball.

And yes, she got a new one immediately, but the loss of that swing was one of the saddest moments in golf history.

I remember sitting in the ice cream parlor as my then-7-year-old, just after a Pop Warner football game, could not stop wiggling his front tooth. It had been loose for a day or two. Right there, sitting and enjoying our tasty treat, he pulled and twisted, jiggled and fought, and suddenly yanked his own loose tooth right out of his head. I may never forget blood dripping into his melting vanilla bowl of ice cream as he proudly hoisted his hard-earned victory.

We all have years of memories from this amazing, family-fun spot. After serving the community for over 53 years, it is no wonder so many were sad to see it go. Access Network, the parent company of Wiss Now, Perk Valley Now, and North Penn Now, would love to hear some of your favorite memories! Sharing your photos can even gain you an entry into a contest, too!

We will reward a $50 gift card to a randomly-selected winner. All you have to do to enter is share your memory and a photo on our Facebook page.

If you're among some of the heartbroken families, sad to see this staple go, we'd love to have you share a memory. We will compile some our favorites and share the post with the community.

Submissions will be accepted via Facebook post, commenting on or tagging on your own page, our news pages. (You can post to Wiss Now here, North Penn Now with this link, or Perk Valley Now's page here.) Simply like or follow one of our pages, post your a photo and memory, and you'll be entered to win a $50 gift card to Freddy Hill Farms to savor a bit more family fun before we all say goodbye.
