As part of PennDOT’s public outreach program, the department is encouraging the public to attend the live virtual public meeting
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will host a live virtual public meeting on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for the upcoming project to improve travel and safety at two Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) intersections in Upper Salford Township.
This project involves safety improvements at Sumneytown Pike and Barndt Road, and Sumneytown Pike and Ridge Road/Old Skippack Road intersections. Improvements include roadway approach realignment, full depth pavement widening to accommodate new turn lanes, installation of new traffic signals and lighting and updates to existing traffic signal phasing, said a PennDOT press release.
As part of PennDOT’s public outreach program, the department is encouraging the public to attend the live virtual public meeting at a Microsoft Live Teams meeting link prior to the presentation start time. The department’s design team will deliver a project presentation before opening the meeting to questions using the platform’s Q&A feature.
Internet access or a computer or mobile device are required to view the virtual meeting. Anyone with special needs or requiring special aid is requested to contact PennDOT Project Manager Vince Cerbone and Design Project Manager Kevin Rice.
For more information on the project, visit the Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) Safety Improvement Project webpage. The public can also provide feedback on the project using the online comment form, said the release.
