There is no need to call 911, according to authorities

Perkiomen Township Fire Co. announced Monday evening that smoke from a prescribed controlled burn of 130 acres taking place in Warwick, Chester County has made its way into the Perkiomen Valley in Montgomery County.

Fire officials posted on social media that the smoke is creating a haze outside.

There is no need to call 911 or report an emergency

According to Perkiomen Fire Co., the burn will be completed by 9 p.m. or earlier.
