The Phillies' 4-2 win over the Miami Marlins Wednesday Night ended in the funniest way possible.
In an almost scripted moment, Nick Fortes crushed a ball deep to right field off Matt Strahm, with two men on and two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Off the bat, the ball looked like it had a chance to leave the park. Instead, Nick Castellanos tracked the ball down in right field, catching it at the wall to end the game:

What's ironic about the situation is Castellanos was pulled from the Phillies' win on Monday for a defensive replacement. Castellanos made a comment after that manager Rob Thomson deemed "inappropriate," and he was benched for Tuesday's game. The right fielder returned to the lineup last night, going 2-for-5, along with making the game-winning catch.
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer's Lochlahn March, Castellanos was unavailable for comment postgame, but some of Castellanos' family members had plenty to say on social media.
Wednesday morning, SportsRadio 94 WIP's Devan Kaney posted a screenshot of the Phillies Run Value Leaderboard. Castellanos was shown at the bottom with minus-9, seven worse than Max Kepler in eighth with minus-2. This prompted Castellanos' wife, Jess, to reply.
"Fuck Statcast," she posted at 10:26 p.m. following Castellanos' big catch:
Fuck statcast
Jess was quick to reply to another post from Kaney as well. Kaney said "Ok Casty! Proving he can play RF just fine," and Jess responded with "414 straight games, no errors national league record holder. Eyes off the computer watch the game."

Eyes off the computer, watch the game
Castellanos' brother, Ryan, was much simpler in his approach. Instead of replying to any media members, Ryan posted the photo of Castellanos sticking his ring finger up during the 2023 NLDS against the Atlanta Braves, with the caption "The defensive gem to seal the win!!"

Castellanos' defense has been a hot topic of conversation, especially after Tuesday's saga. But he answered the call in a big way Wednesday.
