Step back in time and bring a touch of heritage to your sewing kit.
On Saturday, July 12, the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center invites sewing enthusiasts to join a hands-on workshop where they will craft a posy pincushion modeled after a charming 19th-century original found in Berks County, according to a news release.
Led by instructor Charlotte Puff, participants with advanced beginner sewing skills will stitch their way through history, using wool, thread, and vintage-style buttons — all provided by the Heritage Center.
Running from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., this immersive workshop blends creativity with local history in a welcoming atmosphere.
A $40 registration fee plus $10 for materials covers everything you need. A packed lunch is recommended.
Spaces are limited, so secure a spot now at schwenkfelder.org/calendar/posy-pincushion-workshop or call 215-679-3103.
