Methacton’s standout athletes made a big impact on one of the region’s grandest stages, as Liam Greenberg and Tommy Kratz helped power Chester County to a 7-3 win over Delaware County in the Carpenter Cup semifinals at Citizens Bank Park, according to Ed Morrone of MediaNews Group.

Greenberg was a force at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs, two runs scored, and two stolen bases, according to Morrone. Kratz added a double, a run, and a walk, for the Methacton all-stars.

This win not only highlights individual Methacton talent, but also speaks volumes about the strength of the Pioneer Athletic Conference, according to the report.

Now Chester County moves on to the Carpenter Cup championship game with a real shot at its first title since 2007.
