Towamencin (8-15-1) closed out its 2025 campaign by rallying in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game
With one team heading to the playoffs and the other wrapping up its season, Thursday night’s Perkiomen Valley Twilight League regular season finale at Butch Clemens Park ended in a 7-7 tie between Conshohocken and Towamencin, as darkness halted play after seven innings.
According to The Times Herald, the result left Conshohocken (12-10-2) awaiting confirmation of its playoff seed. The Commodores will enter as either the No. 4 or No. 5 seed and face either Philadelphia or Valley Forge in Sunday’s play-in game.
The winner will advance to face top-seeded Lansdale in the semifinals. No. 2 Collegeville will meet the other semifinalist.
Towamencin (8-15-1) closed out its 2025 campaign by rallying in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, per the report. A bases-loaded ground ball with two outs and a subsequent infield error allowed the Bats to score twice and erase a 7-5 deficit.
Earlier, Towamencin built a 5-0 lead in the second inning before Conshohocken chipped away with four runs over the middle innings, according to The Times Herald. The Commodores surged ahead in the seventh with an RBI single by Roman Reed and a sacrifice fly by Cole Duhaime before Towamencin answered back.
“We control our own destiny,” said Conshohocken player-manager Cole Kriger. “We’re going to go and compete, play our best game, give it our best shot.”
