Driver from Phoenixville cited for turn signal violation, state police say
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a four-vehicle crash that left two people hospitalized Wednesday evening in Trappe Borough.
According to a release from the Skippack barracks, the collision occurred around 5:17 p.m. July 9 at the exit of Trappe Center shopping center along West Third Avenue/Route 113.
Troopers said Stanley P. Schwarz, 20, of Phoenixville, was cited for failing to use a turn signal, which investigators said contributed to the crash. He was not injured and did not require transport.
Two other drivers — a 47-year-old woman from Royersford, driving a 2024 Ford Bronco II, and a 26-year-old Collegeville woman driving a 2020 Subaru Forester — suffered injuries and were transported by Skippack EMS to Paoli Hospital for treatment, police said. Their conditions were not disclosed.
A fourth driver, a 20-year-old man from Paoli operating a 2019 Ford Ranger, was not injured.
State police said the investigation remains ongoing. No further details were released.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
