Chickie’s & Pete’s celebrates National French Fry Day with their 12th Annual Crabfries for Heroes event on Friday, which benefits the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.

All sales from one dollar Crabfries® and $5 personal pitchers of Miller Lite will be donated to the Fund to help families of fallen police officers.

In addition, the Chickie’s and Pete’s Crabfries Express Food Truck will travel to select Philadelphia Police Districts and the Police Academy and deliver complimentary lunch to Philadelphia police officers. For more information, contact your favorite location, or visit the website main home page at www.chickiesandpetes.com.

The FOP Survivors Fund is a charitable organization located in Philadelphia that raises money for families of Philadelphia Police Officers who have been tragically injured or killed in the line of duty.

Since this annual event’s inception, Chickie’s and Pete’s has donated more than $225,000 to the FOP Survivors Fund.

“We look forward to this every year, it’s one of our primary philanthropic initiatives and a great Chickie’s and Pete’s tradition. It’s an honor to be able to give back to such a great organization” said Pete Ciarrocchi, chairman and CEO of Chickie’s and Pete’s.

“We are always very excited about the partnership and the Crabfries® for Heroes event,” said Roosevelt Poplar, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5. “We have continued to go to Pete and Chickie’s & Pete’s for help when needed, and we have never been turned away, in fact we are always embraced. This man and his team live their lives by being a part of our community every day and supporting our officers' day in and day out.”

"Crabfries for Heroes has historically demonstrated how passionate and generous our customer base is,” said Ciarrochi. “Traditions like these provide fantastic opportunities to gather the Chickie’s community to raise money and awareness for a great cause."

Crabfries® for Heroes started as a simple idea to say “Thank you” to police officers for their service and dedication to their communities. After seeing the need firsthand, Ciarrocchi and his team decided to make a major commitment to The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Survivors Fund.

All participating full service Chickie’s & Pete’s locations will be participating in this event. Not valid at venue, theme parks, stadiums, airport locations, Penn's Landing, Franklin Square, boardwalk, Allentown and NV locations.
