First responders across Montgomery and Bucks counties were dispatched to four separate motorcycle crashes over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, including one involving a critically injured rider.
The most serious incident occurred in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, on Friday, when emergency crews responded to the 1100 block of Church Road at 7:07 p.m. A male rider, about 30 years old, was found face down in the grass and unconscious following the crash, according to emergency dispatch reports. He suffered a head injury and was transported by Chal-Brit Regional EMS to Grand View Hospital as a Level 1 trauma patient, according to reports.
On Saturday, in Skippack Township, emergency services responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash at Bridge Road (Skippack Pike) around 2:32 p.m. The motorcyclist was evaluated on scene, but declined EMS transport, according to dispatch reports.
Two crashes occurred on Sunday, both in the evening hours.
In Franconia Township, a crash was reported at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road and Harleysville Pike at 8:04 p.m. A medical helicopter was briefly placed on standby, but the motorcyclist was ultimately transported by ground via VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Grand View Hospital.
Just 20 minutes earlier, at 7:44 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a crash on the 1100 block of Allentown Road in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County. The rider was off the motorcycle and requested a medical evaluation, though no transport was immediately reported.
Authorities have not yet released details about the causes of the crashes or the identities of those involved. All incidents remain under investigation.
