Visitors to Meadow Park in Schwenksville Borough will soon be welcomed by a safer and more accessible entrance as the park’s aging staircase undergoes a full reconstruction.
The project, currently underway, aims to provide a sturdier, long-lasting access point for residents and guests, according to the borough.
This improvement goes beyond aesthetics — the rebuilt steps are designed to improve safety and accessibility, with the final phase focused on installing new handrails to provide stability for all users.
Located at 300 Main Street, Meadow Park is Schwenksville’s primary public green space and a favorite community gathering spot. The park features a picnic pavilion, playground with swings, rain garden and benches, a walking path, and a kayak boat launch, offering visitors a peaceful setting to relax, fish, or enjoy the outdoors.
The park is also home to the Summer Concert Series “Music in the Meadow,” held each June, July, and August.
Meadow Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, and the pavilion and bathrooms can be reserved for private use for a small fee. Reservations can be made online at: https://form.jotform.com/222144120934041
With new steps soon in place, Schwenksville looks forward to welcoming even more visitors to enjoy the beauty and charm of Meadow Park — one step at a time.
