Collegeville Borough is looking for one of its own to step into a civic decision‑making role after a member of the three‑person Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) resigned at the end of June.
Term and eligibility
What the Zoning Hearing Board does
The ZHB is a quasi‑judicial body that weighs sworn testimony and documentary evidence at public hearings. Its powers include:
Hearings must be held within 60 days of an application, and the board must deliver a written decision within 45 days of the hearing. Meetings take place at Borough Hall on an as‑needed basis and are advertised in a local newspaper, as required by law.
