Bryan J. Dean, arrested by state and local authorities, after search of Skippack home yields 7 types of drugs, $8K cash, and 5 firearms, including a stolen pistol
An alleged major drug dealer in Montgomery County was arrested and charged last month by Pennsylvania State Police out of Skippack Township with felony drug dealing and possession charges and receiving stolen property, following a nearly 4-month investigation by authorities.
Bryan J. Dean, 49, of the 4000 block of Mensch Road, Skippack Township, was charged June 20 in an affidavit with felony counts of receiving stolen property, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, and dealing in proceeds of illegal activity, as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police allege that in February 2025, a source provided information to police regarding a man in Skippack Township who was distributing large quantities of narcotics, including cocaine, marijuana, mushrooms, ketamine, MDMA, DMT, and methamphetamine, as well as trafficking firearms.
Through physical surveillance and investigative means, Dean, police allege, was using his residence to store and distribute the drugs.
On June 18, Magisterial District Judge Kathleen Kelly Rebar approved a search warrant, which was served two days later at 6:05 a.m., police said. State troopers from two troops, the state Attorney General’s Philadelphia office, Philadelphia Police, and Philadelphia sheriffs knocked unannounced and Dean was taken into custody, police said.
A search of the apartment uncovered the following, according to the criminal complaint:
Dean was jailed on $99,000 cash bail at a June 20 preliminary arraignment. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 30 at 11:15 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Adam T. Katzman. He is represented by a public defender.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
