With the felony charge withdrawn, Nicolette Rose DelGrippo, of the 3000 block of Liberty Lane, had the remaining charge of summary disorderly conduct moved to non-traffic court.
A Worcester Township woman, previously convicted of two retail thefts, had a felony retail theft charge withdrawn at a preliminary hearing Thursday, stemming from an arrest for allegedly stealing more than $400 in groceries from Weis Market in Upper Gwynedd over a four-month period.
With the felony charge withdrawn, Nicolette Rose DelGrippo, 36, of the 3000 block of Liberty Lane, had the remaining charge of summary disorderly conduct moved to non-traffic court, according to court documents.
Police alleged DelGrippo stole the items on six occasions between Sept. 15 and Dec. 9, per charging documents. She was charged Dec. 12 by authorities.
Police were called to the store at 1551 Valley Forge Road on Dec. 12 for a reported theft, and upon arrival, they met with a retail theft investigator who had pictures, video and detailed receipts of purchased and stolen items, police said. All in all, DeGrippo allegedly stole $484.65 in groceries.
Police said DelGrippo was identified via her Weis club card ID number and by matching video footage with her driver’s license photo.
On Sept. 15, police allege DelGrippo went shopping and then concealed items in her purse at the self-checkout. She allegedly scanned items, placed them in bags and then put them in the cart, but any unscanned items were placed from her cart directly into bags already placed in the cart.
She allegedly repeated this behavior on Sept. 23, Oct. 5, Nov. 1, Nov. 27, and Dec. 9.
