Car flips on side, trapping driver, Thursday evening in Montco collision

Perkiomen Township and Collegeville fire companies responded to a collision on an icy Thursday evening in Perkiomen Township at the intersection of Rahns Road and Gravel Pike, involving a vehicle accident with rescue.

According to Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports, the 6:13 p.m. accident involved a vehicle on its side with the driver trapped inside.

Reports said that a supporting strut is needed on the car’s B-pillar to rescue the driver. The vehicle was on the verge of tipping, per reports.

Pennsylvania State Police and Skippack EMS also assisted at the scene.
