A custom black BMX-style bike with black and white tires, black forks and no serial number, valued at $550, was reported stolen Nov. 9 from a residence on Salem Road in Perkiomen Township, Pennsylvania State Police said this week.

According to investigators, troopers responded to a delayed report of a stolen bike on Nov 9 at 11:53 p.m., but the theft occurred between Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 12 at 7:40 a.m. Police said the bike was left inside the 19-year-old male victim’s outdoor garage.

There were no signs of forced entry and no damage to the garage, police said.

Further investigation revealed that the bike may have been hidden under debris beneath a bridge on the Perkiomen Trail, authorities said. A search of the site in the wake of the theft yielded no results in locating the bike or uncovering additional leads, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
