Car crash knocks down utility pole, wires in Perkiomen Township Tuesday night

A driver of a red car slid on the 300 block of Township Line Road and collided with a utility pole, bringing it down and electrical wires with it Tuesday night in Perkiomen Township.

According to Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports, the wires are not sparking or arcing, but a nearby tree is on fire. 

There are no injuries. 

Township Line Road is closed between Greenshire Boulevard and Bridge Street. The accident was near Panepinto Drive.

Responding units included Perkiomen Township Fire and Limerick Fire Department and associated fire police.
