Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a report of a Facebook Marketplace scam that occurred last month in Worcester Township.

Police said they were called to Water Stret Road at Two Glens Lane on Jan. 20 at 6:21p.m. for a report of theft by deception.

Upon arrival, the victims – a 37-year-old woman and 42-year-old man – told police they fell victim to a scam, in which they sent $608 via Venmo in anticipation of receiving bicycle suspensions, police said.

What they got – a children’s toy and a ball.

The incident is under investigation.
