Police said Juanita Danet Whiting, of Gwynedd Club in Upper Gwynedd Township, rented a 2023 Nissan Rogue, never returned it, disconnected her phone, and shut off her debit card
An Upper Gwynedd Township woman with an address in Philadelphia has been accused of stealing an SUV from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Collegeville Borough, as she allegedly did not return it after the rental period.
Juanita Danet Whiting, 26, of the 10th block of Kerwick Court in Gwynedd Club, was charged by Collegeville investigators with felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle last month.
On July 22, 2025, police were contacted by an Enterprise Rent-A-Car manager from the 222 E. Main St. location regarding a theft of an SUV.
Police alleged that on June 24, Whiting rented a 2023 white Nissan Rogue with a Pennsylvania registration. Whiting provided an authentic driver’s license and even paid for the initial rental fees with a debit card, police said.
The rental period was from June 24, 2025 to June 27, 2025, police said. Since June 27, Whiting has allegedly failed to return the car and has since disconnected her phone or changed her phone number.
Whiting also turned off her debit card used to secure the rental, according to the complaint. Whiting has not contacted Enterprise to return the car, police said.
A certified letter was sent to Whiting on July 10 to a Philadelphia address on the 6500 block of Cutler Street, which she provided to Enterprise, according to the complaint.
Whiting is free on $10,000 unsecured bail, following a July 25 arraignment before on-call Magisterial District Judge John D. Kessler. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday morning before Magisterial District Judge Cathleen Kelly Rebar.
Whiting is represented by a public defender.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
