A report of a motorcycle striking a tree came in at 1:18 p.m.
A motorcyclist was flown by JeffStat from the scene of a crash in Lower Providence Township on the 3300 block of Arcola Road near Redtail Court Friday afternoon.
According to initial Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports, 911 callers reported the driver had hit a tree on Arcola Road. He had no helmet and was unconscious at the scene, according to emergency dispatch reports. It is unknown if additional vehicles were involved at this time.
Arcola Road is closed at present. Avoid the area.
The patient's condition is unknown at this time, but emergency reports via EMS personnel stated the need for Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI). JeffStat landed at the Arcola Middle School soccer fields.
Responding units include Lower Providence Police, Lower Providence Fire, Black Rock Vol. Fire, Lower Providence Community Center Ambulance and Freedom Valley Medical Rescue.
