Nobody has more career HRs against the Marlins than this Phillies player

  • Phillies

It's Ryan Howard.

Howard hit 41 home runs against the Marlins in his career, more than anyone except Ryan Zimmerman. Zimmerman also hit 41 against the franchise, but it took him 44 more games than Howard's 171.

© Howard Smith | 2013 May 3The degree of difficulty on that question was pretty low, so here's a challenge: Who are the other two Phillies found in the top ten list for most home runs against the Marlins?

One is Chase Utley, who hit 30 home runs against the Fish in 188 career games.

The second is Bryce Harper, who is already in the top five with 36 career home runs in 187 games against the Marlins. Harper should eventually take the crown for this stat - unless he's tracked down from behind by Pete Alonso (29 HRs), who is the only other active player within striking distance.

Chipper Jones (40 HRs), Freddie Freeman (39 HRs), Andruw Jones (31 HRs), Sammy Sosa (30 HRs), and Barry Bonds (28 HRs) round out the top ten.

A little further down the list, we find more ex-Phillies: Pat Burrell (26 HRs), Jimmy Rollins (25 HRs), Rhys Hoskins (23 HRs), and Bobby Abreu (20 HRs).
