Windy conditions have rescuers busy throughout Montgomery, Bucks counties during Tuesday's rush hour

A wind advisory remains in affect until 8 p.m.

As the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has declared a wind advisory for the majority of Montgomery and Bucks counties, the area has seen a massive number of downed wires, arcing electricity, fallen trees, traffic accidents, and fires as a result.

As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Montgomery County’s Computer-Aided Dispatch listed 30 separate fire events and 29 unique traffic incidents. Bucks County does not broadcast its incidents online.

The wind advisor is to last in our area until 8 p.m. tonight. The U.S. National Weather Service said that the advisory began at 1:09 p.m. It will include 15 to 30 mph winds, with gusts up to 50 mph.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects,” reads the advisory.

Incidents are active, as of 5 p.m., in the following areas of Montgomery County that are within the Access Network coverage areas:

  • Market Street and Concourse Boulevard, Upper Dublin
  • Wayne Avenue and Pioneer Road, Towamencin
  • Hideaway Drive, Upper Moreland
  • Skippack Creek Road, Lower Salford
  • Ridge Road and Sugar Hill Road, Salford
  • Penllyn Pike, Lower Gwynedd
  • Plymouth Road, Lower Gwynedd
  • Gravel Pike and Woodland Avenue, Lower Frederick
  • Eighth and Clahor Avenue, Collegeville
  • County Line Road and Richardson Road, Montgomery Township
  • Clahor Avenue and West First Avenue, Trappe
  • Housman Road and Camp Green Lane Road, Salford
  • Diamon Street’s dead end, Hatfield
  • Richardson Road and Leapson Lane, Montgomery Township
  • Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford
  • Meadowbrook Road and White Oak Road, Upper Gwynedd
  • Plymouth Road and Grasshopper Lane, Lower Gwynedd
  • Badman Road and Whites Mill Road, Salford
  • Oak Drive and Moyer Road, Lower Salford
  • Methacton High School, Worcester Township


In Bucks County, there were a variety of incidents during the same rush hour time period, including the following in our Central Bucks coverage areas:

  • Harris Lane, Warrington
  • Upper Rockdale Road, West Rockhill Township
  • County Line Road at Second Street Pike, Upper Southampton
  • Ridge Road, Perkasie
  • Bethlehem Pike and Old Bethlehem Pike, West Rockhill Township


Drivers are asked to use caution on any area roadway. Those that are able should stay indoors and away from windows for safety.
