Kevin Antonio Pope Jr., of Sharon Hill, accused of stealing more than $1,300 from Target in Upper Providence, fails to appear for preliminary hearing
A bench warrant was issued Tuesday for the apprehension of a 19-year-old Sharon Hill, Pa. man who failed to appear at a preliminary hearing, where charges of felony retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property were held for Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
Police allege Kevin Antonio Pope Jr., of the 1100 block of Spring Street, was caught on surveillance stealing more than $1,300 from Target in Upper Providence over two days in November 2024.
Pope Jr. was allegedly caught on surveillance selecting items throughout the store and leaving without paying on Nov 24 a 4 p.m.
Police were called to the Target in the Oaks section of the township for the report of two thefts that occurred days prior, per a criminal complaint.
When police arrived, asset protection handed police an envelope containing a USB flash drive with an incident report, still photos, video surveillance and an itemized receipt for stolen merchandise, police said.
All in all, $1,314.14 in items were stolen, police said.
