  • Things To Do

The Perkiomen Valley Library, located at 290 Second Street in Schwenksville, is welcoming spring with a variety of engaging programs for the community. From bargain books to STEM-focused learning, there is something for everyone in the upcoming weeks.

Spring Book Sale

Book lovers can browse hundreds of titles at the library’s annual Spring Book Sale. The sale kicks off on Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and continues on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is a great opportunity to stock up on reading materials for all ages at unbeatable prices, according to the library.

"Food for Thought" – A 4-H Youth Program

Young minds interested in science and making a difference in their community are invited to join "Food for Thought," an educational challenge presented by the Montgomery County 4H. This program runs on three Wednesdays — April 16, 23, and 30 — from 4 to 5 p.m.

Geared toward youth ages eight to 13, "Food for Thought" is designed to spark an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and raise awareness about food security. Participants will explore global and local food issues and discover ways they can help build a more food-secure community.

Due to limited space, registration is required. Call the library at 610-287-8360 to reserve a spot.
