State police announce DUI checkpoint arrests from recent enforcement

The sobriety checkpoints identify and remove impaired, drugged and drunk drivers from the road.

Pennsylvania State Police at Skippack reported two DUI arrests over the weekend during a five-hour sobriety checkpoint in Perkiomen Township.

Police said the checkpoint was on Gravel Pike (Route 29), east of Plank Road, from 10 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.

The goal of the checkpoint was to identify and remove impaired, drunk, and drugged drivers from the road, per the police report.
