Fall family recreation events approved by Skippack Township

Skippack Township Parks & Recreation has some future fall family events coming up with the season, now that special event permits were recently approved by township supervisors at their meeting this month.

Winetoberfest returns Oct. 12 to 4038 Skippack Pike from noon to 5 p.m. The event features wine, food vendors, live music, and shopping.

The Well Crafted Beer Garden, at 4049 Skippack Pike, returns from Sept. 12 to Dec. 29. The garden runs Thursday and Friday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 9 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. The outdoor beer garden is approved with a non-permanent tent.

“The Well Crafted permit is for multiple days,” said township Manager Alice Eastmure. “They are expanding their special event permit and decided to go into the fall.”

Skippack Car Show, presented by MDI Management, will be on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Hotel Fiesole. The annual car show takes place in downtown Skippack Village.

A Christmas Tree Lighting is set for Nov. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at 4007 Skippack Pike. The annual lighting event features carolers, dance studio demonstrations and Santa.

Trinity Christian UCC Halloween Parade and Procession was approved for Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. in the church parking lot at 2009 Church Road. Attendees cross Church Road at the corner with Skippack Pike, and travel southeast on the sidewalk along Skippack Pike to Floral & Hardy at 4007 Skippack Pike.
