The mega-popular Collegeville Colossal Yard Sale has been postponed to Sept. 14 due to forecast rain on Saturday, according to the Collegeville Economic Development Development Corporation.

The event runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Waterworks Park, West 1st Avenue, Collegeville and draws more than 3,000 people to the park. Parking for the sale is free.

Due to the change in date, vendor sale spaces are now available again. Vendors can pay $40 for a 10-foot by 10-foot space, and must bring their own tables. Trucks will be charged for two spaces, and a truck and trailer will be charged for three spaces.

Money will be collected the morning of the sale.

Collegeville Colossal Yard Sale features more than 80 sellers, plus food and a large playground area. Mallie's Burgers will serve freshly-made breakfast sandwiches, drinks and lunch items.

The entire event is laid out in a tree-shaded area with paved paths.

All proceeds benefit the nonprofit CEDC, which promotes businesses in the Collegeville area and organizes family friendly events.

“All of our sellers and shoppers loved the shady surroundings, and shoppers walked away with hundreds of terrific bargains. This annual town yard sale has become one of our most popular events!” said Collegeville Economic Development Corporation President Cathy Kernen.
