Lower Frederick Township welcomed one person onto an advisory board and accepted the resignation of another on Tuesday night.

Supervisors did not vote on the matter, but rather accepted the appointment of Andrew S. Maisel to the Environmental Advisory Council.

Maisel’s term ends Dec. 31, 2025.

“I believe the Environmental Advisory Council has met this person and wants them on the board, and that’s great,” said Supervisors Chair Marla Hexter before the recorded acceptance.

According to its website, one vacancy remains on the EAC. Contact eac@lowerfrederick.org with any information.

After congratulating the new EAC member – who joins Gary Bonner, John DeMedio, Dyanne Jurin, Steve Lonesky, and Seth Carey – supervisors officially accepted the resignation of a member of the Park and Recreation Board.

Due to the resignation of Shivani Quinn, whose term ends Dec. 31, 2026, a vacancy has opened on the board, effective Tuesday.

“We are sorry to see her go,” said Supervisor Noelle Halter.

“Regrettably, yes,” added Supervisors Vice Chair Chuck Yeiser.

Other members of the Park Board include Chair Pam Reich, Vice Chair Katie Lewis, Secretary Greg Reich, Becky Strawbridge, Cristal Gerena, Mary Kratz, Monica Strawbridge, and Robin McGovern.
