A motorcyclist suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash in Upper Providence Township Tuesday night on East Ridge Pike/West Main Street, in front of Public Storage, and near The Court at Upper Providence shopping center.

The accident was reported at 9:38 p.m. on Ridge Pike at Kline Road, according to Montgomery County dispatch.

The motorcyclist had not moved from the roadway after the crash, per reports from the scene. The victim was taken with potentially life-threatening injuries to Paoli Hospital, a Level II trauma center, by Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Service/Freedom Valley Medical Rescue at 10:14 p.m., arriving to the hospital at 10:40 p.m., according to Montgomery County fire and EMS incident statuses.

A portion of Ridge Pike was closed between Kline and Pennapacker roads near Wojton’s Nursery while authorities processed the scene.

Upper Providence Police were assisted at the scene by fire personnel and fire police from Collegeville Fire Co. No. 1, Sassamansville Fire Co., and Royersford Fire Department.

The scene was cleared by 10:20 p.m.
