WATCH: Perkiomen, Skippack fire companies work together for firefighter training

On Sunday morning, volunteer firefighters from Perkiomen Township Fire Co., with the partnership and aid of Skippack Fire Companys training facility, had multiple hands-on hose advancement scenarios, plus search and rescue evolutions and response situations, per Facebook.

Perkiomen Township Fire posted that it is extremely helpful for volunteers to train in realistic environments with smoke and fire to simulate real emergencies.

“The ability to observe, react, adapt, communicate and overcome are crucial,” said the fire company.
