The October 30 Collegeville Rotary 65th Annual Halloween Parade will have Trick-or-Treat Trekkers, Costumed Caravans, sponsorship opportunities, and the new post-parade Boo Boulevard this year.
In addition to having kids and pets be part of the parade, the Rotary is inviting adults, families, their friends, businesses and groups to take part in the event.
This means dress up, cheer on the floats and enjoy a memorable day of Halloween magic in downtown Collegeville.
Trick-or-Treat Trekkers are those walking participants taking part in the parade. This can be individuals, groups, or businesses who wish to join the party on foot to dazzle the crowd with costumes and energy.
Costumed Caravans will be the decorated vehicles of the parade. The Rotary welcomes spooky rides, fantastical floats, and eerie bikes to show off creativity and make the parade a spectacle.
Register to be a Trekker or Costumed Caravan here.
According to the Rotary, this year, under the leadership of Rotarian Brenda Browning, the Rotary is seeking sponsorships from businesses and individuals for the parade. The proceeds will go to support local charities, such as the Daily Bread Food Bank along with other Collegeville Rotary-supported initiatives.
All children, pets, and the young at heart are welcome to dress in their costumes and gather in the parking lot behind Dave Schrader’s gas station by 6 p.m. for judging for the Enchanted Attire Costume Contest. Per the Rotary, the contest is split into six age groups: 2 and under, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years, and 11 years and older.
At 6:30 p.m., the parade starts down Main Street to Third Avenue, past the viewing stand, where the winners are announced.
Local businesses will be open for treat-or-treating too.
Boo Boulevard is the newly-named Rotary Halloween post-parade event, returning this year, per the Rotary, with more artisans, food vendors, and beer and wine options.
Vendors and artisans wishing to take part can register here.
The Rotary is also in need of volunteers to judge the costume contest, judge the floats, be parade marshals or help with Boo Boulevard.
