State police respond to a deer versus car incident along I-476S in Worcester Township

The Pennsylvania State Police have released information regarding a vehicle striking a deer while traveling on the interstate earlier this month.

The accident occurred on Monday, Nov. 4 around 12:36 a.m. in Worcester Township. State Police arrived at the scene to find a driver, who was not injured, near his 2012 Ford Fusion. The driver had struck a deer while traveling in the center lane of Interstate 476 southbound near mile marker A25.

Police said that the front left of the vehicle hit the deer, and the car came to stop in the right shoulder, facing south.

According to police reports, the driver was wearing a lap and shoulder belt and was cited for not having financial responsibility.
