Pennsylvania State Police reported that a fire on Moyer Road in Upper Salford Township last week was deemed accidental and caused by a faulty appliance.

Police said on Wednesday at 3:06 p.m., Tylersport Fire Co. was dispatched for a working kitchen fire at the home. Crews were able to contain the fire quickly and extinguished it with no reported injuries.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal was requested to the scene. An origin and cause investigation led to the determination of a potential failure of a kitchen appliance, police said.
