A comedy basketball team, which holds the second longest known winning streak in all of professional sports at more than 5,000 games, is coming to Perkiomen Valley High School, courtesy of Perkiomen Valley School District Foundation.
The “fantastic” and high-flying Harlem Wizards appear Saturday at the 509 Gravel Pike high school at 6:30 p.m.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the event, which runs until 8:30 p.m. General admission tickets are first come, first served seating. Children three and under are free. Tickets begin at $15.
The Wizards’ comedy basketball team tours the country, much like their peers, the Harlem Globetrotters, who hold the longest winning streak of all time at 8,829 over 24 years. The team was created in 1962 by Howie Davis, who wanted to expand on Abe Saperstein’s famous Globetrotters with better entertainment and creativity.
